The summer months can be brutal for some of us in the US! One way I love to stay cool and hydrated is with this 2 ingredient strawberry dessert! All you have to do is blend ice cubes and juicy strawberries together to create the most delicious strawberry dessert or snack!

This is most popular during the summer months but you can make it year round! The best part is that there is no added sugars so it is Dietitian approved. I used to make this for a snack during summer break when I was a kid - so nostalgic! Give this easy recipe and nutrient-dense snack a try, you and your kids will love it!

How to Make 2 Ingredient Strawberry Dessert
Prep the strawberries: Cut the stem and leaves off of the strawberries and halve them.
Blend: Add the strawberries and ice cubes into a blender. Blend.
Adjust: Add more strawberries or ice depending on your preferences. Enjoy!
Hint: Use a powerful blender as some weaker blenders can have trouble breaking up the ice! I like to use this Vitamix blender!

Variations
Add some more flavor! If this already great recipe isn’t flavorful enough for you, try adding in some fresh lemon juice or lemon juice for extra zing!
Substitutions
This recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan!
Nutrition
No added sugars - I love this snack/dessert for myself and my kids because it tastes naturally sweet from the strawberries and has no added sugars! We are always looking for ways to cut back on added sugars and my oldest definitely has a sweet tooth.
Vitamin C - Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C and can help boost your immune system.
Antioxidants - Strawberries are also packed with antioxidants which help protect your cells from damage. The redder the strawberry the more antioxidants it contains!
Storage
You can store this in the refrigerator for a few days but the ice will melt so it will be less of an icee.
Top tip
Use fresh strawberries for this dessert for better flavor.
