When September hits, I start thinking about all the Fall recipes, as I believe most people do haha. The weather is still about 80 degrees but the mornings are CRISP. I love meatloaf because it is a comfort food and paired with some mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus is just as comforting as getting wrapped up in a cozy, warm blanket to me.

I don't typically eat beef and sometimes I will eat pork. So I almost always do meatloaf, tacos, and other typical ground beef recipes with turkey instead. The plus is that it is lower in fat and still tastes great!

    • 2 pounds ground turkey

    • ½ cup ketchup
    • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
    • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    • In a small pan, heat a few tablespoons of oil and saute garlic and onions for 2 minutes.
    • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, garlic, egg, parmesan, panko crumbs, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
    • In a greased loaf pan, place the meat mixture.
    • In a small bowl, mix together the glaze ingredients until well combined.
    • Pour half the glaze on top of the meat and save the rest for later.
    • Bake for 45 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Once done, pour the rest of the glaze on top and enjoy!

    Notes

You could either make two loaves or do one loaf and the rest in a muffin tin like I did!
