If you saw a picture of what I eat every morning, it wouldn’t be anything fancy! What I love about these breakfast quinoa bowls is that they are super easy but a fun twist on all those oatmeal bowls we see on the internet. High protein quinoa recipes are easy to come by, but this one is a unique way to use quinoa for breakfast and packs about 33 grams of protein per bowl! It’s full of fresh ingredients that fuel your day and keep your blood sugar stable.

This plant-based protein rich quinoa bowl can be made any time of the year, but it gives off warm and fuzzy vibes – so give it a try in the fall and winter months to get all cozy in the morning! Healthy quinoa recipes like this one are not only delicious but also easy to whip up, especially if you prep the quinoa ahead of time. Plus, it’s a great recipe to customize depending on what you have available.

Ingredients Needed
- Quinoa – I just use plain, white quinoa! It’s important to choose the right type of quinoa that cooks well and pairs with your other ingredients.
- Vanilla protein powder – I like to use Vital Performance Vanilla Protein Powder because it’s 3rd party tested.
- Milk – I typically use whole milk because that’s what my toddlers drink!
- Raspberry jam – Choose your favorite raspberry jam! You can even substitute with maple syrup if you prefer a natural sweetener.
- Chia seeds – They add more fiber, protein, and healthy fats.
- Raspberries – Fresh raspberries are the best for this recipe in my opinion!
- Vanilla extract - I used Klim's Caramels 100% pure Madagascar vanilla extract.
- Peanut butter – I like to use Kirkland’s (Costco brand) natural peanut butter because it is low in sodium and has no added sugars.
- All-purpose flour – You can use whole wheat or regular.
- Brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Salt
- Butter

Cook the quinoa: Cook your quinoa according to package instructions. The key to perfect cooking is rinsing the quinoa beforehand to remove any bitterness.
Mix it all together: Add the cooked quinoa, vanilla protein powder, milk, raspberry jam, chia seeds, and vanilla extract to a bowl and mix. Add more milk if needed.
Make the streusel: Mix together the flour, sugars, and salt. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and use a fork to smash the mixture until clumpy.
Add the streusel: Scatter the streusel over the quinoa bowl.
Add the toppings: Top with fresh raspberries and drizzle the peanut butter on top.
