When you need a nourishing snack in a hurry, this Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip is a great choice! With only two ingredients, it couldn’t be easier, plus it's lusciously creamy and fluffy with a delicious peanut butter flavor. Whip up a batch to enjoy with fresh fruit or graham crackers for the perfect afternoon snack!

Although we always try to eat balanced meals, snacking is a part of life. You get hungry on the go, need to fuel up before a workout, or just need something to tide you over between meals.
As a Dietitian, I know just how important it is to have a variety of healthy snack options available. The right ones can help stabilize your blood sugar and keep you energized between meals!
That's why I'm obsessed with this 2-ingredient dip. The short ingredients list makes it easy to whip together in moments, and has just the right balance of sweet, creamy, peanut-y goodness. It makes a great after school snack for the kids and is sweet enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, too. It's the best!

Ingredients
This has to be the easiest snack you'll ever make and I promise you, the whole family will love it! Just two ingredients and no cooking—simply stir and you're done.

- Peanut butter - Feel free to use your favorite peanut butter or nut butter. I usually like to use natural creamy peanut butter, but crunchy works, too! Really, any kind of peanut butter will do.
- Vanilla Greek yogurt - Thick, natural Greek yogurt helps this creamy dip hold its shape much better than regular yogurt that is more watery. It also allows you to skip a couple of ingredients since it adds sweetness and a subtle vanilla flavor.

Substitutions
- Gluten-free: This yogurt peanut butter dip is naturally gluten-free!
- Dairy-free: Try your favorite plant-based yogurt instead of dairy yogurt.
- Peanut-free: Substitute your favorite nut or seed butter, like sunflower seed butter, almond butter, and more.
- Vegan: Choose a dairy-free yogurt for a plant-based snack.
Variations
- Mix-ins: Add in your favorite treats like dark chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or chopped dried fruit.
- Make it chocolate: Stir in a spoonful of unsweetened cocoa powder for a delicious chocolate fruit dip.
- Use plain Greek yogurt: Instead of vanilla yogurt, you can also use plain Greek yogurt and sweeten with your preferred sweetener (like maple syrup or honey).
- Try peanut butter powder: This powdered peanut butter rehydrates in the yogurt and will add a bold peanut flavor. So good!
Nutrition
If you find yourself reaching for a snack, I always recommend choosing an option with protein, healthy fats, and fiber. These components will help fill you up, balance your blood sugar, and keep you energized until your next meal.
That's exactly why I love this Greek yogurt peanut butter dip. It's filling, loaded with protein and healthy fats, and has just enough fiber. Plus, you're usually going to enjoy it with fresh fruit, so you'll also get extra fiber and hydration there, too. It's a great option for the entire family!
Storage
If you have any leftovers or want to save them for later, it's best to store the dip in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
Top tip
If your peanut butter is very thick, try using a hand mixer for blending, or add a splash of milk for easier stirring.
FAQ
Although some peanut butter yogurt dip recipes call for adding the sweetener separately, I like to use vanilla yogurt since it adds portion-controlled sweetness and flavor all in one. If you prefer to add the sweetener separately, just use a plain Greek yogurt then sweeten to taste.
This simple dip works well with your favorite fruit, like apple slices, pears, bananas, or grapes, but we also like it with carrot sticks or celery sticks. You can also try it with pretzels, graham crackers, or even healthy cookies!
Absolutely! If you are trying to increase your protein intake, you can easily stir in a scoop of protein powder into the yogurt. You may need a little milk to help it all mix together, but this is such an easy way to serve more protein. In this situation, you may want to use plain yogurt since most protein powders will add flavor and sweetness as well.
