If you're looking for a cool, creamy treat that you can feel completely great about handing to your kids, these Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles are it! They are 3-ingredients and take about 10 minutes of actual work, use just three wholesome ingredients, and are seriously delicious!
There are some really great store-bought popsicles nowadays like DeeBee's Organics and Outshine No Sugar Added, but I also love making my own as an activity with the older boys and to use up yogurt and fruit!

These homemade strawberry popsicles are both delicious AND nutritious. They're made with real strawberries, a squeeze of lemon juice, and plain Greek yogurt, which means they're packed with protein and naturally sweetened by the fruit itself. No added sugar!
I've been making these on repeat since berry season kicked off, and they disappear from our freezer almost as fast as I can make them. They're a fantastic way to use up a pint of strawberries before they go bad, and bonus: they're naturally gluten-free and can easily be made dairy-free (more on that below). Make a batch on Sunday, and you've got an easy frozen treat on deck for the whole week.

- 📖 Dietary Info: Gluten-free, refined sugar-free, vegetarian, easily dairy-free
Ingredients You Need
- Strawberries: Fresh strawberries provide natural sweetness, bright color, and a boost of vitamin C and antioxidants. Frozen strawberries work great, just thaw them first and drain any excess liquid before blending.
- Lemon Juice: Lemon juice brightens the strawberry flavor and adds a subtle tartness. It also helps preserve the popsicles' vibrant color in the freezer. Lime juice works just as well for a slightly more tropical twist.
- Greek Yogurt: This is what gives the popsicles their creamy, rich texture and protein boost. Plain (unsweetened) Greek yogurt keeps the added sugar at zero while still delivering that luscious, smooth consistency.
Dietary Substitutions
Dairy-free/Vegan: Swap the Greek yogurt for an equal amount of plain, unsweetened coconut yogurt or oat milk yogurt. The texture will be slightly less thick but still wonderfully creamy. Make sure to choose a plain, unflavored variety so the strawberry flavor stays front and center.
How to Make Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

Step 1: Add the strawberries, lemon juice, and Greek yogurt into a blender or food processor.

Step 2: Blend until completely smooth.

Step 3: Pour popsicle mixture into the popsicle molds and freeze overnight.
Dietitian Tips for Success
- Use ripe, in-season strawberries for best flavor. The riper the strawberry, the sweeter and more flavorful your popsicles will be! If your strawberries are a bit tart, you can add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup to the blender.
- Tap the molds on the counter before freezing. After pouring the mixture into the molds, give them a firm tap on the counter two or three times to release any air bubbles trapped in the mixture.
- Add a scoop of collagen or protein powder for an extra protein boost. If you want to amp up the protein content even further, stir in one scoop of unflavored or vanilla collagen powder before blending.
- To unmold easily, run warm water over the outside of the mold. Don't force the popsicle out of the mold straight from the freezer, since you'll risk breaking them. Instead, run the outside of the mold under warm (not hot) water for 15 to 20 seconds until the popsicle releases cleanly.
Storage Suggestions
Properly stored in the popsicle mold with the top on, these strawberry yogurt popsicles will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months. After that, they may develop some freezer burn or lose their bright color, though they'll still be safe to eat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Yogurt freezes beautifully and makes for a creamy, smooth popsicle base. Greek yogurt in particular works especially well because its higher protein and fat content helps prevent an overly icy texture.
You can absolutely use regular (non-Greek) yogurt, though the popsicles will have a slightly thinner, icier texture since regular yogurt has a higher water content.
The key to creamy, non-icy popsicles is using ingredients with fat and protein, like Greek yogurt, which slow down the formation of large ice crystals. Blending the mixture until completely smooth before pouring it into the molds also makes a big difference in achieving that silky, creamy finish.
