Alright, I know I am one of the weird ones who prefers savory over sweet. So when I share a dessert recipe it is most defintely a good one! These blondies are not too decadent and that is probably why I like them! I browned the butter before mixing with the rest of the wet ingredients to give the bars a nuttier flavor which is my preference.
These 4th of July Blondies are really quite easy to make and would keep really well if you needed to make them the day before! Both my boys approved and of course David did too.

The ingredients are pretty simple besides the special red, white, and blue sprinkles I got off of Amazon. They are prime so you can get them quickly if you order soon!
FAQ
Q. What is the difference between a brownie and a blondie?
Blondies have a lighter and softer taste than brownies do. Brownies are also made with chocolate and cocoa, while blondies use brown sugar and vanilla extract to get their flavor.
Q. Are blondies and blonde brownies the same thing?
Yes, blondies are often called blonde brownies.
Q. How long do blondies keep?
A. Once the blondies have cooled from the oven, store in an airtight container at room temp and they will keep for about a week.
Q. Why are my blondies gooey?
A. This is likely due to underbaking. Be sure to bake the recommended amount in the recipe and test the center of the pan with a toothpick. The toothpick should come out clean if the blondies are done.
