What You'll Find Here
I started Be Well Table to help busy moms manage the chaos of feeding a family while juggling daycare drop-offs, activities, and living a balanced life! I do this by sharing...
- Kid-friendly dinners with easy nutrition boosts
- Meals for moms because you need a healthy lunch, too!
- Freezer-friendly meal prep recipes for your busy schedule
- Healthy snack recipes and lunchbox ideas that actually travel well
- Breakfast recipes to start the day strong and without a fight
- Evidence-based nutrition tips you can trust
My Nutrition Philosophy
My approach is realistic, not 'crunchy', not extreme, and definitely not about making you feel bad for feeding your kids mac and cheese on a Tuesday (because I actually do this too).
I believe healthy eating for families is mostly about small, sustainable choices: sneaking in a little more fiber here, swapping an ingredient there, and building habits that stack over the years. I'm not here to overhaul your kitchen. I'm here to make what you're already doing a little better.
What you won't find here:
- Diet culture
- Fear-based nutrition advice
- Ingredients that require a specialty grocery store
- Recipes that only one person in the whole house eats
My Story
Growing up, I wasn't exactly a culinary prodigy. In fact, I was actually pretty picky that I ended up cooking for myself, and it became the spark that led me to learn cooking and understand nutrition.
College was a turning point. I took a nutrition counseling class that completely transformed my relationship with food. My biggest takeaway was that health isn't about being a smaller size or following strict diet. It's about nourishment, balance, and how food makes you feel.
After graduating, I worked as a clinical dietitian, first full-time and then part-time after having JP. By the time RJ was born, I was juggling work, motherhood, and a growing passion for creating meals that actually work for real families.
During my postpartum period, I found unexpected joy in experimenting with recipes. What started as a way to feed myself and my family became something more - a mission to show other busy moms that healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated or perfect.
Now, I'm not just a food blogger. I'm a dietitian, a mom of three boys (yes, three!), a world traveler (with the whole fam!), and a proud pet parent to two dogs and three cats. I've done TV segments, worked with brands, and created recipes that make family meals both nutritious and delicious.

My approach? Realistic. Balanced. No judgment.
I believe healthy eating is about small, sustainable choices. It's about sneaking in extra fiber, making smart swaps, and building habits that last years, not weeks. I'm that friend who gets that sometimes dinner is takeout or a frozen pizza, and that's 100% okay.
Come pull up a chair! Be a part of Be Well Table - where healthy eating meets real family life.
